Changes to MKSC Training

I would just like to share a few words in recognition of our outgoing principal instructor Stuart Leonard. Stuart, for those who don’t know him, has for the last four years, been the driving force behind MKSC’s RYA training courses. His drive and enthusiasm has challenged us to improve the craft we have for courses (hence the two new Omegas) as well as increasing the qualifications of the people in his team, to make sure there are enough talented, trained people to run the courses, and through this team, made it possible for both existing and new members to obtain RYA level one and two courses, power boat courses, and first aid courses. He has also hassled the committee to make sure the Topper and Pico fleet are maintained to a degree that all members can be confident that a club boat they wish to borrow will be in fine fettle.
All of this has been excellent news for the club as a whole. However Stuart now feels it is time to pass on the mantle of training to others. So I would like to say a big thank you to Stuart for all the time and effort he has invested in the club, and to recognise that
